– places us in a new position with the Father; we are not just followers

– human ability to describe Divine activity. Described in terms of human
characteristics a Divine attitude toward man.

BAPTISM OF THE HOLY
SPIRIT
– The Holy Spirit takes believers at the moment of salvation and enters
them into union with Christ. 1 Cor. 12:13.

CANON

CARNALITY
- the state

DISPENSATIONS
– Divine categories, and/or the Divine outline of human history expressed
in terms of Divine revelation. A period of time as God sees human
history. In each age, God operates through an agency, such as Israel or

– characteristics or attributes of the Godhead. What God is like.
DOCTRINE
– categories of Biblical information related to the plan of God.

– the doctrine of the Church “ekklesia”.
ESCHATOLOGY
– the doctrine of the “last things”.
EXPIATION
– the removal of the penalty of sin.
FORGIVENESS

GNOSTICISM
– false teaching which tries to reconcile Bible doctrine, philosophy,
heathenism and Judaism. It claims all matter is evil.
GRACE
– all that is free to do for man on the basis of the cross. The title of
God’s plan for mankind.
GRACE SYSTEM OF
COMPREHENSION (GSC)
– the provision of God whereby EVERY believer can understand the Word of
God, regardless of education or human I.Q.
HARMARTIOLOGY
– doctrine of sin.
HEATHENISM
– an area where the Gospel has been preached and rejected.
HUMANITY
– the character or nature of man. Jesus Christ is perfect and true
humanity.
IMMUTABLE
– unchangeable and faithful character of God.
IMPUTATION
– The act of God whereby He credits perfect righteousness to the believer.
INCARNATION
– God becoming flesh and taking the form of man – Jesus.
INSPIRATION
– God so supernaturally directed the writers of Scripture that without
waiving their human intelligence, literary style, or personal feelings, or
any other human factor, His complete and coherent message to man was
recorded with perfect accuracy, the very words of the original Scripture
bearing the authority of divine authorship.
JUSTIFICATION
– imputed righteousness; our position in Christ; a change of
standing; to vindicate or acquit.
LEGALISM
– human good; seeking to gain the approval or sanction of God by human
works.
MEDIATOR
– one who is equal with both parties of a mediation and therefore
qualified to act as a go-between.
MILLENNIUM
– a period of 1,000 literal years when Christ will reign on this present
earth.
OLD SIN NATURE
– the “old man” of Ephesians 4:22, the Adamic nature of “flesh” of Romans
8:3-4, the principle of sin. The OSN has an area of weakness which
produces personal sins; and area of strength which produces human good; a
lust pattern; and trends toward asceticism and lasciviousness.
REGENERATION
– makes us partakers of the Divine Nature; our condition through Christ;
change in nature. Titus 3:5
RELIGION
– man, by his own efforts, trying to gain salvation or the favor of God.
RESTORATION TO
FELLOWSHIP
– (RTF) the believer’s being restored to fellowship through confession of
sins 1 John 1:9.
SANCTIFICATION
– to make holy; set apart; the action of the Holy Spirit in making the
believer holy; filling of the Holy Spirit, walking in the Spirit.
Positional
Sanctification
– occurs at salvation. 1 Cor. 1:2; Heb. 10:10;
Col.
2:10. We are set apart “in Christ”. We are partakers of the Divine
nature.
Experiential
Sanctification
– identification. Eph. 5:26 which means “in fellowship”. Filled with the
Holy Spirit. 1 John 3:1-2
Ultimate
Sanctification
– the believer in eternity. Phil. 3:21; 1 Thess. 5:23; 1 John 3:1-2. We
are assured of a resurrection body. We shall live in His presence
forever. “Holiness”, “saint”, “sanctify” and “holy” all come from the
same Greek word and it means “to set apart” or “to be set apart”. Jesus
Christ is set apart unto God, and since we are in Christ, we are set apart
also unto God.
SPIRITUALITY
– (The Abundant Life) Christ controlling the life by repeated (habitual)
filling of the Holy Spirit.
